There wouldn't be any other better way than "TAKE OFF", to depict the struggle underwent by our beloved NURSES during Iraq war. May be First of its kind, where a whole movie is devoted for story of Nurses. This movie, has broken the traditional system of portraying Indian Nurses in an unprofessional way.
Many Indian movies depict Nurses as handmaidens of Doctors - A person carrying a tray, Just following doctors orders or connecting IV Fluids/Giving injections etc. In many movies it is also shown nurses are very rude and one who scolds patients.
In contrary, TAKE OFF shows Nurses as Angels. It has depicted that why Indian Nurses move abroad and how they are respected there. I think, now it is clear to many that why Nurses leave home in search of job in a new country.
By the way, the movie gives a strong message to Indians: The reason why home trained Nurses leaving the country and how well they are treated in abroad. The question of hour is: Does the message reaches our policy makers and the bureaucrats, so that measures are taken to retain Nurses at home?
Proud of you Cast and Crew of the Movie. We Need More Indian Movies, which Focus on Reality of Profession rather than focusing on some Stereotyped images!
