LEADERSHIP IN HER AS OBSERVED

She is very flexible lady but she knew when to stand strong. She always believed leadership is in action not in position. She had vivid picture of what to do and a firm grasp on what success looked like. She always stood for justice, in whichever circumstances they were. She remembers, when she was given responsibility of  evaluation of ANM programme in Andra Pradesh, she noticed that many institutions were running 3 nursing programmes in one room!!!!.. She stood forward and with proof and complained it for the high authority and also demanded for strict and immediate action.

HER WORDS FOR PRESENT NURSES

She always says “Do not think nothing is sure, instead be confident that everything is possible. Do not think where the way takes off, go instead where there is no path and put your talent and potentiality there. Push yourself into areas where no one has been”. She continues to say ‘to restore our own belief and guide ourselves”.

Support Nurses Strike, Plz

Nurses in Republic of Ireland are on Industrial Action from 30/01/2019 in relation to retention and recruitment of nurses. INMO has taken major step in raising this issue, as Public health system in country is widely affected due to shortage of nursing staffs. Due to low pay and increased workload, nurses are forced to  leave the public health system and move out of profession or to move to other country. Due to nursing shortage, many hospital beds have been closed for ages,  which other wise would have reduced the trolley crisis. https://www.irishtimes.com/life-and-style/health-family/nurses-we-need-to-tell-the-people-of-ireland-we-are-suffering-1.3773390 No nurse in Ireland wants to go for strike, but situation has made nurses to land into industrial action. Hope the Nursing Unity Wins

Need More Nurses in Public Policy making

When we speak of Policy making at Governmental level, we have very few nurses there. since decades there have been a cry for Nurses to enter the political system, not only to help our profession but also to aid the patients. Since time immemorial, very few nurses are part of public policy making related to health care delivery system. Recent news from UK stated that Nurse has taken the place of Mayor.  https://www.qni.org.uk/news-and-events/news/queens-nurse-become-mayor-waltham-forest/ We need more Nurses to enter the political system and influence the Policy making at public level.
